They play it safe. Are quick to assassinate what they do not understand. They move in packs. Ingesting more and more fear with every act of hate on one another. They feel most comfortable in groups. Less guilt to swallow. They are us. This is who we have become. Afraid to respect the individual. A single personal event or circumstance can move one to change. To love yourself. To evolve. - Erykah Badu

I just can't get enough of Monica's new video/song, "Everything to Me". So glad Monica decided to go another route instead of doing some bullshit, auto-tuned to death "club-banger". She samples "Silly" by Deniece Williams. She really took it to another level. Not to mention this badass video based off the picture Obsessed with Beyonce. What can be better than Monica knocking some poor whore into oblivion??

If this isn't some kind of hoax, "Showgirl" could be the biggest train-wreck of the year, thus making it the most entertaining train-wreck of the year. I for one, will be the first to download this trash and produce the 485065 .gifs this "film" will undoubtedly provide.

Because of the recent blizzard that forced DC, Maryland and Virgina to stay in for a week, I've discovered my love of audio books. I have always been a "reader" (not like when a queen will "read" you) but don't do it as much as I like. I'll read a couple of books a year then stop for a few months then read another few, so on and so on. Audio books allow me to multitask. I can do whatever I normally do and still read or listen rather. It also indulges the laziness in me of being read to, which NEVER happens anymore of course because I'm an adult and (thankfully) can do it on my own. It's still something I miss from childhood.

I started out re-reading "Dry" by Augusten Burroughs (the physical book) then remembered I bought the audio book from iTunes years ago when I started college so I could listen to the book on the train while aware of my surroundings. When I finished "Dry", I decided to re-read the rest of his books. I have two others from iTunes, Magical Thinking and Possible Side Effects (Which I just finished). Thankfully, Amazon had a sell on for a few of his other audio books. Running With Scissors and A Wolf at the Table; both were only $3 something! Brand new. Still waiting on "Wolf" but I received "Scissors" yesterday. For Valentines Day, The Boy got me Augustens latest, "You Better Not Cry" a collection of Augustens worst Xmases. :]

There's just something alluring about having someone read to you. Especially when it's the author of the book. There's a few other physical books I want to read next, "Saint Morrissey: A Portrait of This Charming Man by an Alarming Fan", "The Art Of Happiness" by Dalai Lama which I never finished, "Workin' It" by Rupaul (Mmhmm, you read right), "Look Me in the Eye: My Life with Asperger's" by John Elder Robison, "Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin" by Kathy Griffin, "My First Five Husbands..And the Ones Who Got Away" by Rue McClanahan and "My Boring-Ass Life: The Uncomfortably Candid Diary of Kevin Smith" by Kevin Smith. As you can see, I love memoirs and quasi self empowerment books. If anybody has any recommendations, let me know please! I'm open to all subjects.

x

Oh and Ozzy's new one, "I Am Ozzy"! Looks good. :P

The highlights of my day tomorrow will be: getting a Subway, $5 foot-long (which really ends up being 7 something with tax and chips) and watching Britney Spears' Circus Live from Moscow with The Boy ([info]jlo ), while trashing her bad lipsyncing. That sounds like a good day to me! :]

So, Ms. Spears is working with my favorite photographer, Terry Richardson for her Candies campaign. One of 3 photographers actually. I knew immediately the photos from Terry's session would be stunning aaand I thought right. This is one...

Finally got that wig situation under control.

Terry and Brit are cute as fudge together.
